Upcoming Events

I know it's a little early to be talking about January and what is up and coming. I'm going to mention a few things anyway. I'm going to dig my heels in and start my classes, workshops, and even a card club.

The first event in January will be a card buffet. This will be a all you make card class. The cost is $25 and that will cover 6 cards. After that extra cards are $2 each. I will have everything for you make the cards, so you will just need to bring a few items and yourself. All of these cards will be inspired from the limited Occasions catalog that will be coming out in January.

Next will be a workshop I will put together to help you get ready for the month of loooove, February. I have some cute Valentines stamps, dies, and embellishments. I may do this one at my home, but we will see. I might have a class space downtown. I will let you know for sure as soon as I can.

The next thing will be a monthly card club I'm going to get started. It will meet once a month and I will need a minimum of 6 people to commit to start this up. The monthly cost is a $25 monthly order. Once a month you will get a kit to make a couple of cards and a fun "not a card" projects. Like a scrapbook layout or a 3D project. One member will be the hostess each month, and they will get rewards, like free products or discounted items. If you are interested please let's me know so that I can get an idea of how many people would like to do this or if it's a possibility at this time.

I will also be attempting YouTube videos, tutorials, and Live Facebook classes. Yay!

I will be updating my calendar of events on my stampin' up website, so keep an eye out for those.

Interactive Christmas Card

It's almost that time of year to start getting Christmas cards made and in the mail. I love making a card people will remember. I usually try to keep it simple since I usually have to make 15 cards. Every once in a while I get a wild hair and have to make a doozie just to send out to a certain person that really appreciates the effort I put into it. Hold on to Hope Card

I designed the Hold on to Hope card to show a fun technique using the positive and negative cut outs of dies. This is an inlaid technique and it's simple to do and results in a very impressive look. The stamp set I used was Stampin' Up! Hold on to Hope. It's a new set that will be available in January for purchase. This set has a coordinating die set called Cross of Hope Framelits. Kit Snob!!

I've really gotten into one of the all inclusive kits that is featured in the Annual Catalog . This box is amazing for all that comes in it. Have you considered getting one of these kits?  I didn't.  Nope. I have been stamping, doing scrapbook pages, and cards since high school, so I thought I didn't need to get  cards or pre-punched designs. I mean, come on, I could make that with all the paper, stamps and dies that I already have. I was being a total kit snob. I just didn't want to do it. Then, the other day I was trying to come up with a class. I realized, holy cow, I would have to buy paper, stamps, glue, embellishment and the list was getting longer and longer. This also meant the price of the class was getting bigger and bigger $$. What is a new demonstrator to do?  I was starting to stress, and then I saw it.👀 The "Oh Happy Day" all inclusive kit .
