Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set
Happy Hump Day!! I thought a little post on a Wednesday would be a good pick me up!!
I have played and played with this stamp set and I finally LOVE❤ it. The Beautiful Peacock stamp set took a little getting used to, but now that I got the look I want I enjoy playing with it.
Here are some samples I did with this set.
The last sample we were just goofing off and my friend came up with a simple card using the vines and leaves. It was so simple and so elegant. She then added on the Thank You sentiment and that just made the card. Of course, I had to add Wink of Stella onto the leaves to give it that extra oomph.
This stamp set it really beautiful, and there is a lot of flexibility in using it. This set is found in the Sale-A-Brations catalog. It's a free stamp set with the purchase of $50 or more. I wanted give you a few ideas on what you can do with it if you were thinking about getting this one.
I would love to see what you create using this set. I hope that you would share your pictures on Paper Penguin on Facebook.
If you are looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator please let me know. I would be happy to help you get these amazing products. I also have a website that will show you my up coming events, project ideas from Stampin' Up, and it has a shopping link to the catalogs.
Thanks and I hope you have a great rest of your week.

To get the hang of this set I went to a friend's house to see what we could come up with together. Sometimes you just have to bounce ideas off a good crafting buddy. That's when I came up with the first card. It's a very dramatic gold on black card. I really wanted contrast, so I did gold heat embossing with the peacock body and the vine image for the tail. I then framed it out with black and gold polka dot cardstock. The gold trim around the edges of the center was a gold paint marker. I just trimmed the edges with it. It was simple to do and it gave the card an elegant look. The sentiment is stamped on gold cardstock. I just love the results. While I created the gold and black my friend came up with the idea of the white on black. The results are just as dramatic as the gold on black.
Another card I really like is the wreath using the tail feathers stamp. We stamped them in a circle using the second generation stamping technique. The second generation stamp makes the ink look lighter and faded. It helps give the leaves a 3 dimensional appearance. I really like that you can add to the wreath to make it any season or occasion. This one would make a great Christmas card!! 😉 The first wreath pictured was an inspiration I found on Pintrest. I used the "You are simply Amazing" sentiment from the Amazing You stamp set.
