Paper Penguin Monthly Stampin' Sampler

Image
Happy Tuesday gang! This week seems to my week for awesome ideas. 👀👀 I have been inspired to do a product monthly sampler. I think it will be a lot of fun to do. Each month I will pick a coordinating collection and break it down into samples. I would like to get at least 4 people to do it. That way my costs stay at $20 a month. Not too bad right? I mean for 20 bucks where else can you get Designer series paper, card stock, ribbon, embellishments, and other sweet surprises. All of these items will coordinate to create a few cards or even use on a couple of scrapbook layout. Stampin' Up has a large variety of coordinating products that when you have to purchase each one individually it can be dang expensive. So, I worked it out where you can get a sample through out the year. If you love the samples you can buy more of what you like or even add to it. To me that sounds like an awesome deal! I would LOVE to see it start in April. I have a collection already picked out and there a...

Paper Pumpkin.

So, I'm on the card kits kick again. I know, I know. Get over it Karen. I can't, just can't. Paper Pumpkin is so much fun!! You don't even have to decide how to coordinate colors, patterns, and inks. You don't have to have all the tools like blocks, dimensionals, and inks. No, you don't sweat over it all. Plus, every month is a surprise. You don't know what you're going to get. Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates...you never know. You just start a month to month subscription or a prepaid subscription, wait for the 15th of each month (when they mail them out) and create. Maybe you think to yourself "Oh geez, I'm not a creative person at all." Well don't fret over that little issue. The Paper Pumpkin has instructions that comes in the kit. It explains step by step (with pictures) how to make the kit's cards. Perfect for those self proclaimed non-creative people. NO excuse there. Then you might tell me I'm not a ca...

Last Chance

Hey gang! I'm blogging to let you know there is only 2 weeks, yes 2 , left in Sale-A-Brations. That is going to fly by. If you have been eyeballing some stamp sets or paper, now is the time to act. If you don't know what to get, then let me show you some short videos on some of the kits and sets that are sure to " wow " you. Maybe even inspire you to start creating. This is the Bubble and Fizz bundle . It's a really fun and bright set that gives you lots of flexibility to create amazing projects. From cards, scrapbook pages and even fun gift boxes. The fun never ends.   This set is my favorite bundle that you can get for free with $100 order. It's so very pretty with the basket weave embossing folder. Nothing says Happy Easter without basket weave. This would coordinate really well with the Picnic with You Basket set. This set will coordinate with the Picnic Basket builder. Super cute!!  If you are still unsure what to get, then let me ...

Kit Snob!!

Image
I've really gotten into one of the all inclusive kits that is featured in the Annual Catalog . This box is amazing for all that comes in it. Have you considered getting one of these kits?  I didn't.  Nope. I have been stamping, doing scrapbook pages, and cards since high school, so I thought I didn't need to get  cards or pre-punched designs. I mean, come on, I could make that with all the paper, stamps and dies that I already have. I was being a total kit snob. I just didn't want to do it. Then, the other day I was trying to come up with a class. I realized, holy cow, I would have to buy paper, stamps, glue, embellishment and the list was getting longer and longer. This also meant the price of the class was getting bigger and bigger $$. What is a new demonstrator to do?  I was starting to stress, and then I saw it.👀 The "Oh Happy Day" all inclusive kit . It had everything (and I do mean everything) plus I would only have to charge my students for the price...

Little Cubes of Delight...

Image
Happy Wednesday! What is it about gift boxes?🎁🎁 They are just cubes of mystery and suspense, especially on your birthday. We all love to be handed a little gift that is neatly wrapped and tagged just for you.  The first instinct we have to shred that puppy apart to see what it is on the inside. Whether it's candy, a cool gadget that we have been wanting, or, if you have a clown in the group, a box of gold painted rocks. We all just want to tear it up to get to the goodies in the middle. I have been obsessing over making little cubes of delight, since I have been in a card making rut. I needed a change of pace, so I did a search on Pinterest and found some cute patterns for gift boxes. Both of these are from other Stampin' Up demonstrators. I will give them credit at the end of the blog. The first box I made is a small 3"x 3"x 3" box with a window on the front. It's made with the Lots to Love Box framelits . It's a cute box perfect for small goodie...

Heart Happiness

Image
Ah, February, the month of LOOOOVE. We all look forward to the day that overflows with sappy cards, beautiful arrangements, and those amazing little pieces of  deliciousness we know as chocolate. Valentine's  Day is an awesome day to express your ooy gooey feelings for your crush, boyfriend or husband. ❤❤ I'm here to help you do just that. Show that special someone how much you really love them with a  new stamp set called " Heart Happiness ". It has a "hearty" dose of photopolymer hearts shaped stamps. The "Heart Happiness" set doesn't include any sentiments, but it coordinates with another stamp set in the Occasions catalog that does. It's called "Sure Do Love You". That set can be found on page 19.  I had a lot of fun with this set! I'm going to be honest, I'm not a fan of the color pink. It's just not me...so a lot of my samples are primarily red, gold, and shade of purple. This is a sweet little card...

Bird Banter Stamp Set

Image
I almost forgot to blog today!! It has been insane as far as weather goes, and with the bad weather comes the parents' dreaded snow days from school. I love my kid, but dang I'm in need of school to start up again.  You don't realize how much a 5 year old can talk until they are stuck inside for 4 days with no way to get all that energy out. I have found it comes out verbally. I probably answer a thousand questions in an hour. ANYWAY.... speaking of talking... Here is Bird Banter This stamp set is in the Occasions Catalog! It has some great parrot images that are sure to crack a smile on the recipient's face. It doesn't have any dies to cut images. All the images you see in the following samples were cut out by me. 😝 This is a card sample out of the Occasions catalog (pg 43) that I made.  I used Whisper White cardstock to create the card base and background. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored with Stampin' Blends Cherry Cobbler, Daffo...
